Meeting Crispin Freemanby ~MilleniumFoxMagician

One of my favorite moments at Otakuthon 2011 was meeting Crispin Freeman in person on Saturday afternoon. Not only is he one of my favorite voice actors period, but he’s a wonderful guy to talk to and he even started out as an anime fan! Ever since I started going to cons 4 years ago, I’ve wanted to meet him and just say how awesome it was to finally meet him face to face (and in my Shizuo cosplay as well!)

Not only did he sign my Hellsing Ultimate Vol. 1 DVD and my program, but thanks to a few new con friends, I got my Howl’s Moving Castle and The Spectacular Spider-Man DVD sets signed! And, to my surprise, he was talking to me in his Alucard voice when signing Hellsing, quoting: “Hello…police girl. It’s such a wonderful evening tonight, don’t you agree?” without me even asking him to say anything! I couldn’t help but blush and giggle like a dork just thinking: “How in the world is that smooth and sexy voice coming out that man’s throat?” Nonetheless, it was just so nice that he did that for me and possibly plenty of other fans during the autograph signing that day.

Acting like a shy dork aside, I was really happy that I got to meet him.

(It was just too bad that there wasn’t a panel of his own that weekend, only a Naruto-related one that I accidentally missed due to arriving at the con by a delayed bus and then by metro.) Being that said, I’d really would like to see him again at another convention and go to one of his panels. <3
